Tour Plan
Pick up from your Marrakech hotel around 9 a.m. for a 1h30 drive south to the Moulay Brahim Gorges. Then we continue through Asni, where a weekly market is held every Saturday, and on to Imlil (1,740m). Imlil valley is located in the Western High Atlas mountains' upper level foothills. Trekking expeditions to Mt Toubkal and nearby valleys depart from here. Mount Toubkal, by the way, is the highest peak in both North Africa and Morocco.
When we arrive in Imlil, we will leave our vehicle and go to a guesthouse for a welcome mint tea. Before embarking on a short hike, we will meet our local guide. We go south to the Berber village of Aroumd, passing through the hamlets. The craggy Western High Atlas peaks of the Toubkal Massif are visible ahead of us. Then we continue trekking till we arrive at a guesthouse in the village for lunch. It's a fantastic day excursion to the Atlas Mountains. After lunch, we made our way back down the valley to Imlil and the return trip to Marrakech. Drop off at the Marrakech Hotel.
