The beautiful Tizi N Tichka pass (2260m) and the charming Berber settlements dotting the rocky road will capture you as we embark on a trek into the High Atlas Mountains.
The UNESCO World Heritage site "Ait Benhaddou village," a spectacular fortified ksar ornamented with charming Kasbahs, is a highlight of the journey. This renowned setting has appeared in a number of critically praised films. Immerse yourself in its historical allure by walking over the river to the opposite side with a local guide. The ascent through the labyrinthine alleys to the mountaintop reveals stunning views of the fertile Ounila river valley, enveloped by a desert environment, with the majestic snow-capped Atlas Mountains providing a picturesque backdrop that seems to embrace the entire planet.
We continue our journey to Dades Gorge after a delicious lunch, traveling through Ouarzazate, Skoura, and the magnificent Valley of Roses (best enjoyed in late May). When we arrive at Boumalne Dades, we follow a picturesque route through the Dades gorges, where you'll be amazed by the distinctive rock formations known as "the monkey feet" and the amazing sight of fortified Kasbahs along the Dades river, all set against a magnificent sunset.
A halt at the canyons allows you to take in the beauty and peacefulness of the surroundings while also enjoying a cool drink. Finally, we return to our hotel for a delicious dinner and a restful night's sleep.
