Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Draa Valley – Zagora
Your trip begins with morning pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech. Travel across the High Atlas Mountains through the famous Tizi n’Tichka pass, enjoying panoramic views and traditional Berber villages along the route. Continue to Ait Benhaddou, one of Morocco’s most impressive fortified villages, where you can take a short walk and discover its historic kasbahs. After lunch in Ouarzazate, the road continues south through Tizi N’Tnifift and the old caravan route towards Agdz, the gateway to the Draa Valley. Along the way, admire palm groves, ancient kasbahs, and pre-Saharan landscapes before reaching Zagora. In the evening, enjoy a camel ride to the desert camp, followed by dinner and an overnight stay in nomadic-style tents.
Day 2: Zagora – Agdz – Ouarzazate – High Atlas – Marrakech
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast at the camp. Afterward, ride your camel back to meet your driver and begin the return journey to Marrakech. The route passes again through the Draa Valley and Ouarzazate, where you can stop for lunch. In the afternoon, cross the High Atlas Mountains and arrive back in Marrakech, with drop-off at your hotel or riad.
