Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi n’Tichka Pass – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
After pick-up from your hotel or riad, leave Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains through the scenic Tizi n’Tichka pass. Along the way, pass traditional Berber villages, mountain views, and changing landscapes. After lunch, continue towards the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley, an area known for its kasbahs, palm groves, and dramatic scenery. Overnight in a hotel in Dades.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorges – Tinghir – Merzouga
After breakfast, drive towards the Todra Gorges for a short visit and time to enjoy the impressive canyon scenery. Continue through Tinghir and the desert route towards Merzouga. On arrival, camels will be waiting to take you across the dunes to your desert camp. Watch the sunset, enjoy dinner, and spend a memorable night under the Sahara sky.
Day 3: Merzouga – Ait Benhaddou
Wake early to admire the sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast at the camp. Ride your camel back to meet your driver and begin the journey towards Ait Benhaddou. This is a long but scenic day through desert landscapes and southern Moroccan villages, with lunch along the way. Overnight in a hotel near Ait Benhaddou.
Day 4: Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
After breakfast, visit or enjoy the surroundings of Ait Benhaddou, one of Morocco’s best-preserved ksars. Then return to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Arrival is usually expected in the early afternoon, with drop-off at your accommodation.
