In the morning, go from Marrakech on an exciting drive over the spectacular High Atlas mountains via the scenic Tizi n'Tichka pass, reaching an altitude of 2260m. The intriguing Ait Benhaddou town, famous for its walled ksar and exquisite Kasbahs, is our first stop. This old landmark has acted as a natural background for a number of film productions, which adds to its charm.
After a great lunch, we carry on to Dades, passing via the intriguing city of Ouarzazate, Skoura's palm plantations, and the lovely Valley of Roses. We will spend our first night in Dades, giving you the opportunity to recuperate and immerse yourself in the wonderful surroundings. Following a hearty breakfast, our tour begins with a visit to the captivating Dades Gorges, via the magnificent route of 1000 kasbahs that winds through the colorful Berber towns of the Dades valley. We'll then travel to Tineghir, which is known for its lovely palm grove.
Continuing our journey, we arrive at the enthralling Todgha Gorge, where we embark on an exciting hike through the towering canyons that reach up to 300 meters, making it a popular destination for mountain climbers. The spectacular Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara desert are our next stop. You'll have time to eat a great lunch on the way. When we arrive at the dunes, you will enjoy an unforgettable 1.5-hour camel ride, capturing the spectacular sunset as you make your way to the oasis tent.
The night promises to be incredibly amazing as you spend it in the Merzouga Sahara dunes bivouac, surrounded by nomadic tents or sleeping under the dazzling display of shooting stars. We will arrive in the evening at the historic and picturesque Ait Ben Haddou, where you will check into your hotel. We begin our journey at 9 a.m. from Ait Ben Haddou hamlet, where a stunning World Heritage Site - one of Morocco's most magnificent ksours, or fortified towns - awaits. You'll be transported to a bygone period as we explore the twisting lanes and exquisite architecture of Ait Ben Haddou, which is steeped in history and cultural richness.
We continue on our journey to the colorful city of Marrakech. However, before arriving to our goal, we take a detour to visit the traditional High Atlas Berber settlement of Telouet. The renowned Kasbah el Glaoui beckons, encouraging us to learn about its glorious past through its stories and legends.
